Great hotel, first time here and chosen as an adults only on a b & b basis but we ate in the buffet restaurant 3 times for evening meal. This was excellent value and the choice and quality of food was up there with the best. We also ate out at nearby restaurants, in particular the Ocean Basket over the road, another great restaurant on a small complex of bars and restaurants. The hotel is only 20 mins transfer from the airport and is ideally situated for either a bus or taxi journey (5mins) into the lovely town of Paphos and it’s Harbour and Marina, such a good choice of bars and restaurants all reasonably priced. There is a beachfront walk which is flat that also takes you into Paphos. The hotel is spotlessly clean with great facilities. The staff were so helpful and the Wi-Fi (free) is good all around the complex.

We had booked here in the summer of 2016, but when we arrived we were offered an upgrade to the Assima Suite hotel which was just along the road. It’s taken us 8 years to get round to coming back…..so many places to see in the world. This hotel is first class and is spotlessly clean. The wi-fi signal is very good no matter where we were, either inside or outside in the hotel grounds. That’s important for me as it allows my to keep on top of the work emails. Our room, a superior double with sea view can’t be faulted. It’s very spacious and tastefully decorated. The staff are both friendly and helpful. Overall it ranks among the best we’ve been to over the years. Hopefully it won’t be another 8 years before we return.

First time back here since 2013 when we had stayed 3 consecutive years at the Athena Beach; stayed at the Royal for 7 nights 3rd to 10th April which we chose as we don t normally holiday during out of schoolers and was relaxing, gentle but friendly to mix with younger and older couples alike. The continuation of the emplarary service, decor, cleanliness and bonhomie is evident since 2013. In the intervening years we always intended to come back to the best hotel we both agree we have ever had the pleasure of staying at. Everything is perfect from the food variety and sustainability right down to the ambient background music, the air diffusers, efficiency of the lifts, entertainment and animation projects to the cheery greeting of all levels of staff as they quietly go about their chores.

Does a quiet, relaxing, comfortable, holiday (no kids) appeal to you? Then the Athena Royal Beach Hotel, Paphos, Cyprus is the place to go. It is located on the sea front (not a sandy beach that s the only downfall) but you have three swim pools two outdoor one indoor, restaurants ( you will never get bored with the menu not to mention the array of fresh fruits. The promenade runs to the old town of Paphos and is a lovely walk (or you can hire bicycles) with plenty of eateries etc. For those of you of a more energetic nature there s an athletic bootcamp ... not for the faint hearted! Best time to travel if you don t like extreme heat April/May and September! The hotel itself is clean and cool with the most amazing staff friendly and always willing to assist you. The Manager (Andreas) is the most welcoming of all. Well done Andreas and thank you for a wonderful stay....We ll be back!

Stayed here as a last minute deal from the UK. Overall pricing was good through the travel agent, and we received an unexpected room upgrade when we arrived. It s an adult-only hotel so there are no kids/kids facilities but there is an entertainment team (that is shared with the sister hotel next door) that put on several activities per day which was great. Rooms on Floors 1, 2 and 3 are tidy and well maintined, if a litte small. Floor 4 appears to be comprised of suites which are about twice as big as the rooms on the lower floors. All rooms appear to have balconies but a lot of them face outwards from the side of the hotel rather than directly at the sea - partial sea view is how it was sold at the travel agent. Communal areas seemed spotlessly clean and the staff were plentyful and friendly. We stayed at the beginnig of the season (March) and so the rooftop bar was closed - this was a big sell for us, so that was a shame to not have access once we got there. Breakfasts were well stocked and tasty. We didn t try an evening meal at the hotel but we did have a couple of meals at the snack bar next to the pool. These were fine and OK price-wise. This hotel is roughly in the middle of a string of hotels along the coast. There is a good quality path that leads fromt he hotel into Paphos itself - it is about a 25 minute walk to the shops and bars near the harbour. The other hotel guests seemed quite a lot older than us - not sure if this is a time of year thing or specific to this hotel. A lot of lawn bowls was played... Overall we enjoyed our stay, but it was a just a litte boring . It would have been even worse if had not been for the entertainment team. Thanks.

Wide choice at breakfast, had an upgraded room with great view and very comfortable. Friendly and welcoming reception staff. Tony and Nicoletta were very welcoming and helpful. - Breakfast staff did their job but were indifferent, we asked if the door could be closed a little as it was cold wind and were told very rudely to sit elsewhere!

Liked the overall look of the hotel. The grounds were beautiful, well looked after. Events and entertainment every day and night. Rooms cleaned every day, waiter service every day. Valet to rooms upon arrival, complimentary wine, water and fruit on arrival. Breakfast, evening meals superb. A lot of hotels main meals are overpriced and not up to scratch but this hotel has it in spades. We’re definitely heading back. Also given complimentary 15% discount pamphlet for next time as well. All the staff were just amazing to deal with. Very polite, very helpful and genuinely interested in their customers needs. - Nothing..well we did have a talk with the hotel manager regarding a small incident regarding evening buffet meal we had, no need for details only to say hotel manager sent us up a bottle of champagne and fruit to our room that evening after bringing it to his attention..Great management and lovely man to speak to.

We stayed here for 10 days during early March. Hotel is perfectly situated to be right on the seafront with easy walking distance to the harbour and easy links to other areas available. Staff were amazingly helpful and service was second to none. Breakfast was amazing, with plenty of choices available! I would 100% recommend staying here and will hope to return closer to peak season.

I m a frequent traveler and I think I ve found my new favorite hotel. Although the rooms were a bit outdated, the hospitality and value have far exceeded my expectations. Leading from the top, the assistant GM Andres was nothing short of excellent. He took pleasure interacting with every single guest. (No really, every single guest!) Worked tirelessly to make sure everyone was enjoying themsevles. This man needs a raise! The property was gorgeous and well kept. We enjoyed a nearly empty resort (opening month), with plenty of activities and plenty of drinks. Huge shout-out to Maria, Lovely, and Manisha from the bar for keeping us liquored up and the amazing entertainment team for all the fun games. We were quite pleased with the food options as well. Breakfast buffet had a variety of fresh fruits, meats/fish, some local cuisine, including the classics. Lunches were light yet delicious, and Bogdan was really friendly and attentive. Dinner buffets had a delicious, rotating menu with a huge variety to choose from. It made our honeymoon so easy to enjoy. Thanks again to the outstanding staff mentioned and everyone else who made our stay extra special!

Very comfortable hotel catering to a senior clientele. Good service from all staff. A la carte restaurant good but overpriced. Good breakfast selection. Elite class for some rooms a nice touch.
